The ‘Smaaash Sachin Virat Cricket Carnival’ is presented by legendary cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, who are associated with Smaaash – India’s leading sports and entertainment zone. The carnival with nationwide presence is designed to be a fun-filled cricket tournament that will bring together 2000 teams across the nation to compete against each other. The tournament will be played across five Smaaash centers and the finals will be held in Mumbai. The highlight of this tournament will be the grand finale where the prizes will be awarded by both the cricket luminaries, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, at a glittering event in Mumbai.

Cricket lovers can start registering their entries for the tournament that will be conducted across Smaaash centers, in Mumbai, Gurgaon, Noida, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Each six member team will play in the Smaaash cricket lanes and face a selected bowling line up. The Smaaash Sachin Virat Cricket Carnival will have five Categories - Under 16 (School), Under-25 (College), Open, Corporate and Women’s Category. The Open Category winners from each city will be eligible to come to Mumbai and will face off as Team Sachin and Team Virat.

This tournament will be played at Smaaash’s one-of-its-kind 360-degree cricket simulator at each center where cricketing legends like Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Kieron Pollard, Sachin Tendulkar and many others bowl to you.

The precise technology of Smaaash Cricket not only replicates the bowler’s action perfectly, but also the cricket simulator is the only one of its kind which can bowl spin and swing balls with variations of line and length. The laser tracking and the high-tech cameras track every move and even offer replays and wagon wheels of the score.

There is a nominal registration fee and the interested teams can register on the official website of Smaaash i.e www.smaaash.in. The registration process will begin on May 20th, 2016 at all five Smaaash centres. The winners across categories can take home the Smaaash Sachin Virat Cricket Carnival Cup along with memories of being mentored by a legend. That’s not all, the national winner and runner-up in the Open category will get Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 3 lakhs respectively.

India Runway Week is Asia’s youngest fashion trade event recently happened in New Delhi. Each season of the much-awaited IRW introduce new talent and places young Indian designers firmly on the global fashion stage. IRW provides a platform for both established and upcoming talented designers but also introduce fresh designers to showcase their collections.

The opening show was named as “Fashion Startups of India”, this has happened for the first time when a fashion trade event of this level had eight young designer kicking off the ready-to-wear collections for Summer’16 season. The Opening show was fully financed by IFFD and it presented the collection of eight designers out of thirty young designers of the previous seasons of India Runway Week who participated under “Newgen” category. The names of these young designers are Megha & Jigar, Vishala Shree,  Ankita & Akshita,  Vanica Chhabra, Rahul Kapoor,  Bani Pasricha,  Fahd Khatri and Sanya Garg.  RJ Rocky, RJ Henna & RJ Ashish from Red FM also walked the ramp for Fashion Startups in the opening show.

The Opening show was followed by Snishh by Snidhi and Ishna, Puneet Gupta, Yosshita & Neha, Gauri Couture, Hannah Khianghte

Bani Khurana, Sailesh Singhania, Prachi and Saloni, Sudhanshi Garg, Rohini Gugnani, Pratibha Lalwani last but not least Varija Bajaj.

While sisters Snidhi & Ishana showcased their label SNISHH which is all about dynamic cuts, geometric prints and is a brand meant for those who express themselves through fashion. Puneet Gupta presented an enchanting palette of the very Indian and classic designs and patterns for bride and groom, which was exclusive and classy. Designer Hannah Khianghte showcased classic silhouettes and traditional formal wear that women in Mizoram wear with their Puan (traditional skirt of the Mizos).

Chesi Anne Basil, star for the evening, a 16 year old cancer patient whose only wish was to be a model and walk the ramp. Her motto is to celebrate life and be a role model for so many others who are fighting this deadly disease. VARIJA DESIGN STUDIO is ecstatic to make her wish come true with the help of India Runway Week and Make-A-Wish-Foundation.

The second day of the India Runway week Season 6 celebrated the beauty of different styles women tend to explore sartorially.  The day started with college students doing ramp walk “Think Design” which is a part of the India Runway Week by IFFD celebrating the summer collection 2016. Soak in the paradise of this diverse extravaganza and celebrate the ultimate style. Each INSDIAAN has dexterously worked on every individual collection and extracted the best vision from their creativity.

Actress Mandira Bedi and Transgender Activist Laxmi Naryan Tripathi walked the ramp for Delhi-based Jewellery designer Akassh K Aggarwal. Actress Mandira Bedi is the show stopper for Akassh K Aggarwal. At the show he has launched new Spring/Summer Collection "The Coeur Collectives". Coeur is a recreation of French Word for core/heart.

On day 3 the show started with the collection of designer Anjana Singh. Anjana Singh in her collection, The Pastels rediscovered the intricate embroideries of chamba rumal and used the fabric in sophisticated Indo-western silhouettes. The collection was crafted out of organza, georgette, habutai along with handloom silk.

Followed by the Collections of Designers Pralii Design House by Rupali, Niharika Kamani, Megha Jain Madaan, Mugdha Art Studio, Seema Mehta, Rajdeep Ranawat, Agnimitra paul. Actress & Model Rushali Rai walked the ramp for Designer Rupali Lakra at India Runway Week 2016. Rushalo looked undoubtedly stunning and gorgeous at the ramp in Rupali Lakra’s Golden pleated Gown with a tied and dyed jacket overlay, which was the part of her BOHO-ANTI-BOHO Collection. The adorable product line presented.

Actress Aditi Gowitrikar walked the ramp for Designer Megha Jain . Aditi was looking stunning in Orange tulle dress. The collection she showcased is a tribute to her father. Kolkatta based Designer Niharika Kamani’s collection Enchantress is an amalgamation of strong femininity and powerful clean lines in terms of silhouttes,texturing and embroidery,which makes a woman empowered and effortlessly elegant.

Neha Dhupia walked the ramp for Sashi Vangapalli labeled Mughdha Art Studio. Neha Dhupia looked dazzling in white Lehanga. Sashi’s Brand belief “We are about you” speaks leads and bounds about her. She believes Mugdha is not about clothes but an effort to help women understand better, to help bring out their true beauty.
